Sejarah SMK La Salle Klang

Sekolah La Salle, Klang ditubuhkan pada tahun 1940 oleh Reverend Father L. Guittart. Beliau juga merupakan pengetua sekolah yang pertama. Apabila Sekolah La Salle mula-mula ditubuhkan, sekolah ini dikenali sebagai Sekolah St. Bernadette. Pada tahun 1950, nama sekolah ditukarkan kepada Institusi La Salle. Tidak lama kemudiam, nama sekolah ditukarkan pula kepada Sekolah La Salle, Klang.

Pada tahun 1964, Sekolah La Salle Klang dipisahkan kepada Sekolah Rendah La Salle dan Sekolah Menengah La Salle. Sungguhpun berpisah, kedua-dua sekolah masih bertempat di lokasi yang sama sehingga hari ini.

Semua bekas pengetua sekolah merupakan mubaligh Kristian sehinggalah tahun 1989 apabila Encik Rex C.C. Michael menjadi pengetua sekolah pertama yang bukan merupakan mubaligh Kristian.

Pada hari ini di bawah sistem pendidikan kebangsaan, Sekolah Rendah La Salle dan Sekolah Menengah La Salle dikenali sebagai Sekolah Kebangsaan La Salle Klang dan Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan La Salle Klang.
